Happy Thanksgiving from the Growth minds community. Two weeks ago, 50 of us gathered to celebrate this holiday dedicated to those who have our backs when we need it the most. Here's the Thanksgiving story according to member, Vincent Weir: In the fall of 1620, 102 English expats boarded a ship bound for the New World. I like to imagine them as a group of startup founders leaving Europe to start a new society together. After two months of sailing, they landed in Massachusetts on November 11. But the wilderness that greeted them was freezing & bare. Imagine landing in Sweden in November & needing to build an entire civilization. These expats were completely unprepared. The first five months were absolutely devastating. Half of them died from exposure & malnutrition. But then something incredible happened. One of the native Americans living nearby came to help. Motivated by a sense of humanity that wants the best for others and hates to see them suffer, this man, Squanto, taught the expats the skills they needed to survive. He showed them corn, the local staple crop. He taught them where to fish, and how to use it as fertilizer. Squanto’s help gave the expats the support they needed to secure their first harvest & ultimately, to survive. And so the expats decided to celebrate with their new friends. They invited the local people over to a feast called Thanksgiving. They ate turkey & gave thanks together. And still today, more than 400 years later, we remember the ones who have our backs when we need them most. 🟠 We built Growth minds–to support leaders going through their biggest challenges. Together, we can survive the winters, thrive in our businesses, and go on to serve the world. Apply on our website.

In his famous LinkedIn post from 2018, Frank Slootman, former Snowflake & ServiceNow CEO, urged leaders to "AMP UP" their energy levels. "The role of a leader is to change the status quo, step up the pace, and increase the intensity," he says. "Leaders are the energy bunnies and pacemakers of the organization." They turn potential energy into kinetic energy. Growth minds gathers ambitious leaders with a goal to boost their energy. Through our confidential monthly gatherings, we help leaders let go of the mental & emotional baggage that slows them down. "I joined Growth minds to increase the quality of my network and learn from other founder’s decision-making, which has absolutely happened," says Armando A.. "But what I’ve come to realize is that this group’s biggest benefit relates to energy management. I leave each session feeling inspired to grind further and do more meaningful work." 🟠 Apply the become a member on our website. #EnergyManagement #leaders #community
