Snowie King, participating in Build Up Rocklin, a program led by the Growth Factory in partnership with City of Rocklin, used their grant funding to test adding cotton candy to their menu. There is a learning curve to making this sweet treat but they have successfully created multiple all-natural flavors. The community came out to celebrate last week at The Chalet Event Center to taste test and vote for their favorite flavors. We love watching businesses test and grow and we love how the community supports them! Community - As we exhale after producing our 3rd annual GFX Venture Summit and reflect on this past week, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible partners, founders, builders, investors, and friends who work everyday to make this region the best that it can be. There are too many pictures, logos, names to list in a single post to effectively thank those who contributed to this year's summit -- with 40+ partners, 1500+ attendees over 3 days, 8 venues across the region, 60+ speakers, 40+ startup pitches -- longtime collaborators, brand new friends... Because each of you invest, because you collaborate, because you show up - because you build - this region's ecosystem is growing. We heard over and over again from our out of town guests how energized (and tbh, a little surprised) they were by the people, pitches, and energy of Sacramento region ecosystem. But we all know, as Derek Chase highlighted during his Backyard Award remarks, that worldclass companies are being built here. It can be done. It is being done (OnSight Technology). What a great afternoon at The Urban Hive attending Human Machine Collaboration Institute AI ignite event. Thank you to Sadie St. Lawrence, J.P.
