Im klimafreundlichen Stadtteil Hyllie im Süden von Malmö hat Wingårdhs arkitekter ein 11-geschossiges Bürogebäude aus Holz entworfen, das bei seiner Eröffnung im Jahr 2024 das höchste seiner Art in Schweden war. Das Bürogebäude befindet sich am Eingang zu einem neuen Quartier in Hyllie, genannt die „Botschaft des Teilens“ und gegenüber dem Bahnhof Triangeln (KHR arkitekter), der den Auftakt zu Scaledenmarks professioneller Führung durch den Stadtteil Hyllie bildet. Seven years ago, we reported here on the plans of Hungary’s largest company, MOL, to build a 120 metres high tower on the banks of the Danube, designed by Foster + Partners. At the time, it was said that the 28-storey headquarters would be completed by 2021. The deadline could not quite be met. The 2,500 employees moved into the now 143-metre-high glass tower in December 2022 – just in time for the 150th anniversary of the founding of the former twin city in 2023. Budapest today has a new, highly visible and striking landmark on a section of the river that had to be massively regulated after the city’s worst natural disaster. Damals hieß es, dass die 28-geschossige Firmenzentrale bis 2021 fertiggestellt werden sollte. Der Termin konnte nicht ganz gehalten werden. Die 2500 Mitarbeiter bezogen im Dezember 2022 den nun insgesamt 143 Meter hohen Glasturm – übrigens pünktlich zum 150. Gründungsgeburtstag der früheren Doppelstadt im Jahr 2023. The recent years have shown that such an exhibition is no longer about representing latest national achievements, but understood as an experimental space.
