Two new European standards will facilitate harmonization of #Raman instruments and data: 💡 CWA 18133 Raman instruments calibration and verification protocols (https://lnkd.in/dx9RCH23) 💡 CWA 18134 Raman instruments twinning protocol (https://lnkd.in/dmfEa3YV) Both documents (freely available from the links above) are valuable tools for easing, extending and improving the use of Raman spectroscopy in industrial and research applications. This initiative was originated in h2020 CHARISMA project, focused in harmonization of Raman Spectroscopy for characterisation. The standardization work proved to be attractive also for organizations external to the project representing more than half of the participants. Manufactures, users and researchers in Raman spectroscopy coming from inside and outside Europe joined efforts in this task. UNE Asociación Española de Normalización acted as Secretariat of the CEN Workshop and also participates in CHARISMA, leading the tasks aimed to transfer the results to recognized and openly developed standards to facilitate their market uptake and to feed the standardization system with innovative topics. #StandardsPlusInnovation
