Since 1992, Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Tennessee has partnered with more than 100 qualified low-income families and individuals to revitalize neighborhoods throughout Clarksville-Montgomery County through new home construction*. Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Tennessee’s mission is to eliminate poverty housing from the Clarksville-Montgomery County area and to make decent, affordable shelter for all people a matter of conscience. Our vision is to paint Clarksville-Montgomery County Tennessee as a region where hard-working families can own homes in healthy, safe neighborhoods with access to jobs, transportation, and quality schools. Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County empowers individuals and families to build and buy their own homes with the help of people in our community. Homes are sold at no interest to low-income households who do not qualify for a traditional mortgage. The program prepares our partners to be successful through homeowner classes in budgeting, home maintenance and safety, and delinquency prevention. *HFHMCTN is an equal-opportunity housing lender.
