In the past decade, we’ve all become more aware of #PFAS in fire-fighting foams and consumer products. However, PFAS-containing products used in mining, such as drilling fluids and ore processing, have gotten less attention. And recent regulations on PFAS have happened fast, presenting challenges for both regulators and the #mining industry. Tiffany Thomas, Ph.D. will discuss navigating these regulations at the SME - Boise Section technical session II on January 15. Register here: https://lnkd.in/ghMqSAg4

If you’re setting off fireworks to celebrate the new year, please be safe! Here are some tips: -Check local regulations and current weather conditions, including burn bans. -Only use fireworks outdoors and keep a bucket of water or a hose nearby. -Never place a part of your body directly over a firework or hold a firework in your hand when lighting. -Don’t light more than one firework at a time. -Designate a safe perimeter to keep people away from fireworks. -Let dud fireworks sit for 5 to 10 minutes before picking them up to dowse them in water. Also, soak all used fireworks before discarding. -The safest approach is no fireworks at all: Consider alternatives such as party poppers, bubbles, silly string, or glow sticks. Hood Park recently had the privilege to host local highschool students around campus. Team members were able to show the students different parts of development, the real estate industry and the various career paths available to them. A big thanks to the Haley & Aldrich team for including us and all of the other volunteers that made the day happen. 🙌 #hoodparkcharlestown #hoodpark #commercialrealestate #development #lunchandlearn #boston
