We had the opportunity to honor Scott Gale with the 2024 Trailblazer Award at the Houston innovation awards. The Trailblazer Award was established in 2021 to recognize an innovation leader in Houston who has made a significant impact on the Houston innovation ecosystem and continues to support the community's growth. Scott made an impact with his special kindness, energy, and talent. He was an extraordinary friend and colleague, passionate about his family, friends, community, and work. Scott provided incredible creativity, vision, and drive to launch Halliburton Labs, and despite a terrible cancer diagnosis, Scott continued to provide significant leadership and ecosystem collaboration to create the inaugural Houston Energy and Climate Startup Week in September. Scott's generosity and dedication to the Houston innovation community will be missed, yet we hope to honor his legacy by advancing his work. Scott's wonderful wife & father attended to accept the award.
