This holiday season, let us all come together to share the gift of hope, and happiness. Whether it is through a small act of kindness, a thoughtful gesture, or simply sharing a smile, we have the power to brighten someone’s day. At the Happy Hope Foundation, we believe that the true spirit of the holidays lies in spreading love and joy to those who need it the most. May your days be filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting glow of festive lights. Together, we can make the season the most magical one yet! Emi Burke Wendy Webster

Delivering happiness to hospitalized, homeless and all children facing crises in need of a boost of HOPE!
About us
The Message of Hope Foundation was founded in 2011 by Emi Burke, born out of a desire to bring hope and happiness to hospitalized children with special needs or chronic and life-threatening illnesses. A parent of a profoundly disabled young son often requiring intensive services, Mrs. Burke was moved to action after witnessing other young hospitalized children undergoing treatment with nothing to engage them or distract from long hospital stays. A physician described the extent to which families invest their resources in expensive treatments as they strive to save the lives of their children, leaving little for small luxuries such as coloring books, crayons or other engaging and uplifting activities. Five years later, the Message of Hope Foundation has inspired hope and resiliency in thousands of children, achieved through the generous support of numerous national corporate sponsors and dedicated community volunteers. The foundation’s signature Happy Hope Bags are a boost of hope for children who are hospitalized, regardless of their illness or disability, providing hours of activities that help to take a child's mind off of their treatment or illness. Yesterday afternoon the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Corporate Citizenship team spent just a couple of hours packing hygiene kits for a women’s homeless shelter, whilst catching up with each other (no laptops allowed!) Team building volunteer events are a wonderful way to impact your community in need, while connecting. Do it with your team, it’s rewarding and fun! #BlueCrew #BeCommunityFocusedAlways Happy Hope Factory

“Be a Hope Hero” ❤️ Travelers Hispanic/Latino Diversity & Allies Network partnered with the Happy Hope Foundation during Hispanic Heritage Month! The Happy Hope Foundation was founded in 2011 by Emi Burke, born out of a desire to bring hope and happiness to hospitalized and homeless children facing health and safety crises. Travelers Hispanic/Latino Diversity & Allies Network shared a volunteer opportunity with network members and employees to contribute to Hope Reads virtual library. I selected a book from my daughter’s collection courtesy of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library - shameless plug for another incredible organization. If you didn’t know…. each month, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library mails a high quality, age appropriate book to all registered children, addressed to them, at no cost to the child’s family. Our daughter is incredibly articulate for a 3 year old and she LOVES books. When her daycare closed abruptly, I stepped away from work for a period of time. During those months, we lived at the Arapahoe Libraries (sorry for the overdue books 😬). As part of our family’s nighttime routine, we read a book nearly every night. I truly cherish this time together and I know we are doing something as a family that brings her happiness while supporting her diversity in thought, her literacy and her future reading ability. Having an opportunity to share hope and happiness through books and reading to other children makes me proud and happy too. I am thankful Travelers Hispanic/Latino Diversity & Allies Network introduced myself and other employees to the Happy Hope Foundation! “Do good, give back, share hope!” Happy Hope Factory #trvemployee #volunteer #community #diversity #inclusion #reading #literacy #philanthropy #leadership #humanresources
