The Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project (HLEP) and the Harvard Undergraduate Venture Capital Group (HUVCG) are excited to co-host the Harvard/MIT Startup Pitch Weekend this February 8th–9th! We eagerly invite you to apply to pitch for legal assistance or funding, with a $1,000 cash prize! Pitches on Saturday, February 8th, are for the opportunity to receive free legal help through HLEP's spring project cycle. These pitches will be judged by students and corporate attorneys. Selected startups will be matched with Harvard Law School students and an attorney supervisor, who will work together to answer your legal questions over the 8–10-week project cycle. This legal research culminates in a final report. Pitches on Sunday, February 9th, are for VC funding consideration and a $1,000 cash prize, sponsored by Xfund and Arnold & Porter. These pitches will be judged by students, venture capital funds, and a judges’ panel. Selected startups will be considered by VC funds and Harvard students for funding, and the best startup will receive a $1,000 cash prize! Applications are due by Friday, January 31st, by 5:00 pm EST. We will notify you by Monday, February 3rd, of whether we can offer you a spot at the pitch. Note that participating startups must have at least one Harvard or MIT student in leadership, and non-profit startups may only apply for legal assistance. Also, answers to the form will be used in evaluating and matching selected startups with attorney advisors or VCs.
