HCA Florida Blake Hospital is home to one of just six verified burn centers in Florida, and this week, we celebrated our incredible burn team during National Burn Awareness Week! Our team took their expertise beyond the hospital, teaching fire safety and burn prevention to a local scout troop and the kids at Happy Cubs daycare. Through hands-on demonstrations and engaging activities, they empowered young learners with essential skills to avoid burns and the best response to a burn. A huge thank you to our burn team for serving our patients and community!

Last week, we had the privilege of witnessing an emotional reunion — just over a month after surviving a near-fatal heart attack, William Booth took a moment during his recovery to share his gratitude with the physician, nursing staff and EMS personnel who played a critical role in saving his life and supporting his recovery.
