About us
Healing Action is a survivor-founded and led non-profit organization that provides trauma-informed direct services to adult female and male victims of sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. In addition to direct services, Healing Action hosts the Missouri Coalition Against Trafficking & Exploitation, a statewide coalition of service providers & community members working to address human trafficking. The coalition provides community presentations and more in-depth trainings tailored to specific entities, including law enforcement, health care providers, criminal justice employees, and other community organizations. To refer someone for services, you can call 314-833-4515. To request or learn more about trainings/presentations, you can email organizer@mocate.org. Our Mission Healing Action partners with survivors and the community to end commercial sexual exploitation. We do this through community awareness, client advocacy, and a comprehensive array of services.

In honor of Native American Heritage Month, we celebrate the courage, resilience, and contributions of Indigenous leaders like Sacheen Littlefeather. In 1973, Sacheen stood on the Academy Awards stage, representing Marlon Brando to speak out against the treatment of Native Americans in film and beyond. Her bravery sparked conversations on representation, respect, and justice for Indigenous communities—conversations that continue to inspire change today. Let’s honor her legacy and all Indigenous voices working toward equity and cultural preservation. 🌎💙 #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #SacheenLittlefeather #IndigenousPride #HealingAction

In honor of Native American Heritage Month, we celebrate the enduring strength, resilience, and wisdom of Native American cultures and communities. This month, we also reflect on the legacy of leaders like Chief Crazy Horse, a visionary warrior of the Oglala Lakota. Known for his courage, humility, and dedication to protecting his people, Crazy Horse stood firm in his values and dreams for his community's future. May we honor his spirit by learning, listening, and supporting Indigenous voices today. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #ChiefCrazyHorse #HealingAction

In honor of #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth, we celebrate the incredible contributions of Indigenous voices, artists, and leaders—like Poet Laureate Joy Harjo. 🌎 As the first Native American U.S. Poet Laureate, Harjo’s work beautifully captures the resilience, culture, and spirit of Native communities, sharing stories that inspire connection and understanding. This month, we encourage everyone to explore her poetry and reflect on the power of storytelling in honoring heritage. ✨ #JoyHarjo #IndigenousVoices #HealingAction
