When we talk about transforming healthcare, few people embody that mission as deeply as Cecilia Saffold, MBA, PMP . From her early days at the National Center on Poverty Law (now the Shriver Center on Poverty Law) advocating for housing equity to her leadership at HealthTeamWorks, she has remained focused on one thing: ensuring that systems work for people, not the other way around. As a board member of KC Health Collaborative, Cecilia is helping bring together public health leaders, healthcare providers, and community organizations to build a more connected, patient-centered healthcare system. Why does this work matter to Cecilia? Because healthcare is fragmented by policies, by payers, and by technology. That fragmentation creates barriers to access and equity. Through her leadership at HealthTeamWorks and KC Health Collaborative, Cecilia is tackling these challenges by: → Coaching healthcare organizations to improve quality and patient engagement → Strengthening the healthcare workforce through training and strategy → Convening diverse voices to design sustainable, community-driven care models Her impact doesn’t stop there. She also serves on the Community Expert Review Board at UZAZI VILLAGE, where she works to revolutionize Black maternal and infant health outcomes by amplifying the Black birth experience, fostering equitable research, and ensuring culturally congruent care. We are fortunate to have a leader like Cecilia on the KC Health Collaborative Board working to make healthcare more connected and person-centered. Join us and Cecilia to make a fragmented healthcare system whole. Let’s get to work. #HealthcareEquity #HealthLeadership #PatientCenteredCare
