The World Migration Report 2024 underscores the complexity and critical nature of international migration. With 281 million migrants globally, and 117 million fleeing violence, it is evident that migration is both a challenge and an opportunity for the international community. Addressing the root causes of forced migration and supporting migrants in their new communities are essential steps towards a more inclusive and sustainable world. At Heartfelt Tidbits, we welcome all with open arms.

For students and volunteers, Heartfelt Tidbits has changed the time of ELL on Tuesdays to 3-4:30 pm. Thursdays remains at 10-11:30 am. Thank you for adapting to this time change to accommodate our students.

At Heartfelt Tidbits, the educational journey transcends the traditional classroom experience. With a mission to foster both language proficiency and cultural understanding, Teacher Emily and Teacher Sara dedicate themselves to nurturing their students' growth in English and acculturation. Thank you to the Miami University students who did projects for Heartfelt Tidbits as part of their Spanish speaking coursework. If you are interested in finding out how you can put your Spanish skills to work in the community and/or in topics of social justice, we encourage you to come and learn about Miami University students' community-based work in Miami's Spanish Service-Learning courses (SPN 322 & SPN 331). Students also presented their ePortfolios that described their community-engaged projects, the impact that the community has had on them, and how their experience compares with research examined in the classroom. @MiamiUniversity
