After 22 years of extraordinary leadership, Kurt Snyder, Heartview's CEO, has announced his retirement as of the end of 2025. Kurt has led the organization through many changes. When he joined Heartview as an addiction counselor in 2002, Heartview had 8 employees who provided outpatient treatment. Today, Heartview’s 180 employees offer a wide range of residential and outpatient services, including 61 residential beds, in Bismarck, Cando and Dickinson. Kurt will remain as CEO until fall/winter 2025, please help us wish him well!

Thank you to the 200 people who came out to run or walk the Monster Mile 5K and the 200 parents and kids who came out to trick-or-treat! It was a fantastic day and you helped raise $12,800 for patient care.

On Oct. 15, 1964, a group of dedicated community leaders founded Heartview. At the time, it was the only private substance use treatment facility between Minneapolis and Washington state. Thank you, Gov. Doug Burgum, for proclaiming yesterday Heartview Foundation Day!
