  • As busy women, professionals, and entrepreneurs, it's easy for our health to take a backseat amidst our hectic schedules. But remember, your health is your greatest asset, and it's high time you prioritized it. Hypertension, commonly known as high blood pressure, affects millions of people worldwide, and you must be proactive in managing it. Here are a few simple steps you can take to keep your blood pressure in check and live healthier lives: 1️⃣ Regular check-ups: Schedule routine visits to your doctor for blood pressure screenings. Awareness is key to prevention and early detection! 2️⃣ Healthy diet: Embrace a well-balanced eating plan rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Reduce sodium intake and limit processed foods. Your heart will thank you! 3️⃣ Get moving: Incorporate regular exercise into your daily routine, even if it's just a brisk walk during lunch breaks or quick stretching sessions. Find an exercise that brings you joy and make it a habit! It’s Zumba or dance fitness for me. 4️⃣ Stress management: As busy women, stress can creep into our lives. Prioritize self-care activities such as deep breathing exercises, or engaging in hobbies that help you unwind. Your mind and body will appreciate the relaxation! 5️⃣ Support system: Surround yourself with loved ones who uplift and encourage you. Share your health goals with them, and together, create an environment that promotes overall well-being. You can improve your blood pressure and cholesterol numbers by healthy eating and lifestyle changes. Comment or DM ‘READY’ and I’ll send you the link for a consultation. ***Payment plans are available ***

  • Plaques form when cholesterol lodges in the walls of the arteries. If blood pressure spikes, probably due to stress, it puts pressure on the thin wall of the plaque. This can break open and a clot is formed. This can cause a heart attack and most major heart attacks occur when plaques rupture. When plaques don’t rupture but enlarge over time, they can block the flow of blood, causing angina (chest pain that may be caused by emotional stress). These blockages are not healthy! That is why you need to be intentional about your eating habits and lifestyle choices. High blood cholesterol (LDL) is unhealthy. Go for a check up with your physician if you have never checked your blood cholesterol levels. -Dr. Fisayo Nutritionist/ ACE Health Coach I help busy women ( professionals, women in business and ministry improve blood cholesterol, pressure and overall heart health via proactive coaching). If your physician has advised you to change your diet or lifestyle, send me a DM and let’s have a conversation. #worklifebalancehealth #professionalwomenhealth #busywomenwellness #hearthealthawareness #wellnessforexecutives #cholesterolawareness #healthylifestylechoices #corporatewellness #wellnesscoachforealtors
