John:
Do you see like the market changing, growing? I mean, your business actually hasn't been around all that long. It's not like it's been around a hundred years or seventy years. So how do you see that the market has already changed and where do you see it going from here?
Chris:
Yeah, we compete with two other primary technologies, which are air actuation and hydraulics. And there are some things that electromechanical actuation offers that you can't get with hydraulics or pneumatics, and a lot of it has to do with the costs. And it's also the availability of smart motor technology that's affordable. So, there's a couple trends in the markets, and one trend is manufacturers like us that have learned how to make very accurate screw products, ball screws and lead screws. And then when you marry them up with a, with smart motor technology, you end up with an electromechanical package that's affordable and can generate motion profiles on whatever device it is you're building that are pretty high performance.
John:
Yeah, so you got a lot of precision, right? And speed and control and that kind of thing versus some of the other technologies?
Chris:
Yeah, yeah, exactly!
