I used to stuff my outreach emails with {{replacement_tokens}}. Now, my best-performing campaigns focus on context and pain points. Story Time: One of our best campaigns historically was when we did outreach to Shopify Agencies and pitched them on our services. The pitch was simple. 𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘪𝘧𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘺? 𝘐'𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳. Why was this so powerful? Instead of stressing over the perfect replacement token, I instead spent the time doing prospect research and segmenting the list. We found all marketing agencies and then researched which ones employed Shopify Developers. This was our Signal to show that they needed Shopify clients. The Results: A single campaign that produced 48 Warm responses and 17 Meetings.
