  • The last few weeks have been incredibly stressful and chaotic. Many are worried about their safety, their jobs, their research, their continued education and much more. We at HFES see you and value you. We have a tool we want to share—with members and nonmembers—that we hope can provide some support. We want to support not only individuals, but also the science of human factors and ergonomics and the application of that science now and into the future. HFES Connect is a place where people who are associated with human factors, ergonomics, and all of the related fields can connect. You do not have to be a member of HFES to use this tool, just go to this link—HFES connect—and create an account. Once you have created this account, you’ll see a link on the left navigation that says “Communities I can join.” There are communities associated with technical groups (e.g., Human-AI-Robot Teaming, Occupational Ergonomics, etc.) as well as affinity groups (e.g., Practitioners, HFE WOMAN, LGBTQ+, BIPOC, etc.). Here you may find a group of people with whom you can share concerns, experiences, and possibly find support to get through this. This, of course, is only one tool for everyone’s toolbox. We will all need many. If you know of others, please share them. HFES Connect: https://bit.ly/3WXzQl0
