We are proud to announce that Hilton Richmond Downtown (1885) in Richmond, Virginia, has been inducted into Historic Hotels of America. Located in the iconic Miller & Rhoads department store building, the hotel preserves the legacy of one of Richmond's most notable landmarks. Established in 1883 by Linton Miller, Webster Rhoads, and Simon Gerhart, the Miller & Rhoads store grew into a regional retail leader, attracting customers from across the Mid-Atlantic. In the 1920s, an Art Deco redesign by the renowned Starrett & VanVleck firm further solidified the store’s status as a premier destination for luxury goods and fine dining. Following its transformation into the Hilton Richmond Downtown in 2006, the hotel maintains the building's historical charm while providing modern amenities ideal for business and corporate events. Retaining features like marble floors and soaring ceilings, the hotel offers a sophisticated blend of heritage and contemporary comfort. With over 16,000 square feet of flexible event space, on-site dining options including Gather & Hem and 1885 Café & Market, and prime access to Richmond's top cultural and business hubs, Hilton Richmond Downtown is a distinguished choice for meetings, conferences, and corporate stays. This induction recognizes the hotel’s commitment to offering a unique and memorable experience for business clients while honoring its historic significance. #Historichotels https://lnkd.in/e7iAZ4n2
