  • Harnessing Gallic Acid & Resveratrol to Combat Triple-Negative Breast Cancer A new study highlights the potential of plant-derived compounds, gallic acid (GA) and resveratrol, in targeting triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). Unlike conventional therapies, which often face challenges like drug resistance, this multi-target approach explores molecular docking with TNBC-associated receptors such as HER2, ER, PR, and BRCA1. 🧬 Why it matters: TNBC is one of the most aggressive breast cancer subtypes. Synergistic, less toxic alternatives are crucial to reducing recurrence and metastasis. 📖 DOI: https://lnkd.in/ehtM6tza #BreastCancerResearch #TripleNegativeBreastCancer #GallicAcid #Resveratrol #CancerTherapies

  • 🚨 Antibiotic Resistance in Salmonella typhimurium: Insights from Poultry and Goat Farms in Punjab, Pakistan 🚨 Antibiotic resistance in Salmonella typhimurium is a growing concern, especially in the context of poultry and livestock farming. This study by Iqra Asghar, Shazia Asghar, Fouzia Tanveer, @Hafiza Fizzah Riaz, @Yasir Nawaz, @Aayza Ashar, @Farman Ullah, @Muhammad Luqman, @Abdul Quyyum Mirza, and @Muhammad Thouseef examines the prevalence of Salmonella in chickens and goats, highlighting crucial antibiotic resistance trends. 🔑 Key Insights: Salmonella typhimurium found in both goats and chickens poses significant health risks. Antibiotics like Nitrofurantoin, Ceftazidime, and Ofloxacin show varying degrees of effectiveness in treating infections. Oxacillin and Ceftazidime should be used with caution due to resistance patterns. Overuse of antibiotics in animal farming has serious consequences for human health. These findings call for more stringent controls on antibiotic use in agriculture to prevent further resistance development. 📖 Dive into the full article here: https://lnkd.in/e5h8DZCs What actions can we take to curb antibiotic resistance in animal farming?
