With the Year of the Snake upon us, we decorated our recently opened Café 388 at our Central Hong Kong offices with some beautiful calligraphy, produced by our friends at the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association. HKEX Foundation is delighted to support the “Empowering NGOs Through Effective Board & Governance: Corporate Perspective” event hosted by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) 香港社會服務聯會 (社聯) to strengthen connections between charitable institutions, social enterprises, and corporates. HKEX Foundation is pleased to be donating HK$1 million to the Sports Legacy Scheme, a charitable institution that supports participating professional athletes in providing sports training to underprivileged students to spread the positive values of sports and the Olympic spirit. The eight-month community sports programme will host children and youth training sessions, guided by professional athletes, to cultivate their interest in sports. 香港交易所慈善基金捐贈100萬港元予「奧夢成真」計劃，支持一個為期八個月的社區體育項目，由專業運動員為基層學生提供運動培訓。參與者將在專業運動員的指導下參與各類體育運動，支持他們對運動的熱情，藉以推廣奧運精神。

Bees play a crucial role in maintaining the balance and health of our ecosystem. However, challenges such as climate change and habitat loss threaten their survival particularly in urban areas.    With support from #HKEXFoundation, Beetales is launching a 12-month professional bee rescue training course to promote eco-friendly methods for beehive management. During the course, beehives in urban areas are safely relocated by volunteers, ensuring these essential pollinators can continue to thrive, maintaining ecological balance and supporting biodiversity.   The next time you see a beehive, try to avoid using insecticides right away. Instead, contact Beetales to learn how we can protect these pollinators that are crucial to our environment.
