Associate Spotlight: Refugio Noyola, Carpenter "I was led to construction because of a friend. When I first started, I was a laborer, but when I received the opportunity to learn about carpentry, I fell in love with the industry."

CHAMPIONS’ AWARDS SPOTLIGHT: While many companies would be worthy of our K12 Employer of the Year Award due to their impactful engagement in the K12 space, Holder Construction stands out this year for its sheer level of involvement across multiple key initiatives: ·      Sending 21 team members to lead a high school construction class for a week after the program’s instructor unexpectedly left at the start of the 2023-24 schoolyear ·      Providing longstanding leadership in executing the SkillsUSA state Team Works competition ·      Leading the way in key K12 workforce priorities, most notably through youth internships and jobs. Holder Construction’s consistency in doing the right thing, even when difficult, is an inspiration to our team and a demonstration of what is necessary to secure our future as an industry! Associate Spotlight: Emily Kirksey, Sr. Internal Auditor "When I was growing up, my dad ran a paving crew. He would come home smelling like fresh asphalt and would tell me about the different equipment they used and what it did. I remember being so excited to hear about his projects. Fast forward, and my college roommate and one of my best friends worked at Holder for over a year before she convinced me to apply. Family, friends, and an opportunity to merge my interests brought me to the construction industry."

Congratulations to the first-ever all-electrical graduating class from Google STAR (Skilled Trades and Readiness) Program! We’re thrilled to support this workforce development program which increases the entry-level pipeline of electricians in the skilled trades in Fort Wayne, IN.

Associate Spotlight: Joel Silva, Carpenter Foreman "When I joined Holder, I started out as a laborer, and then I learned carpentry as part of my duties. My favorite part of my job is traveling to other states with and becoming friends with the people I work with."

Congratulations to our client Invesco for winning the Quality of Life Award from U.S. Green Building Council! The award is given to a project certified in the last two years that has made significant efforts in improving health, wellbeing, resilience, and equity for building occupants and their communities.
