About us

After almost driving our home care agency out of business in 2010 and coming close to a nervous breakdown, my wife and I finally broke through the imaginary ceiling that was keeping us from our dreams on our way to building an agency with over 150 caregivers, several million $$$'s a year in revenue, and a business that operated mostly without us. With our backs against the wall, I was determined to make our business ownership dreams a reality but recognized that I did not have all the answers. So I sought help from business coaches, sales and marketing books, seminars, and our spiritual coach just looking for answers that could help us survive and break through our imaginary ceiling that was holding us back. After trial and error and a lot of heartache, over the next 12 months we grew our business $1,062,964 in revenue and eventually got to a point where our business was running mostly without us. I was able to take 8 months off while managing our teams from afar with 1 hour weekly accountability meetings! I started Home Care Breakthrough Solutions to share my difficult lessons along the way and to provide tips that can help you breakthrough your imaginary ceiling like we did. Trust me when I say it's much easier to run a larger agency than a smaller one. Sadly, most home care agencies never even break $2M in revenue! Below that level, the business is still mostly running you and consuming your time, making it difficult to serve your clients at the highest level and keeping you chained to your business. The problem is, that rarely works. That’s how you close the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. Sun Tzu, that ancient military guy from The Art of War, said it best: “Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is just noise before defeat.” And I totally agree with him!
