Just recently we announced that we've secured a long-term Heat as a Service-contract with energy provider Eins Energie. At the heart of it? Our powerful 31 MW biomass heat and power plant that will produce renewable heat and electricity for the city of Chemnitz, Germany. ✅ Renewable Energy as a Service: Completely unburdened of development and operational tasks. ✅ No capital expenditure required. ✅ Security of stable, long-term pricing despite volatile energy markets. ✅ Cuts CO₂ emissions & reduces reliance on fossil fuels. ✅ Increases the city's renewable energy share. It’s all about environmental technologies this weekend as we team up with our local partner TEREC at 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗲.𝗧𝗲𝗰. This is the largest event in Greece for the Environment and Circular Economy. We have built numerous biogas facilities worldwide, including the Netherlands. Where we have built the majority of the biogas plants in the entire country. Like the biogas plant at Groengas Jelsum. This plant has been producing biogas since 2006! 🌱 In operation: since 2006 Biomethane production: 2,3 million Nm3/year Feedstock: 22,000 tons/year Initially, the biogas plant was designed to generate electricity from manure and by-products. In 2016, the facility underwent a repowering. Adapting it to biomethane production with capabilities for gas-to-grid injection. In 2021, HoSt replaced the biogas upgrading system with an upgrader with an even higer capacity. Fully optimizing the efficiency of the biogas facility. Through repowering, we improve the productivity and long-term viability of the existing biogas plant with technological advancements. For decades, we have been building biogas plants and have worked on some of the most interesting projects in fascinating locations. One example is this biogas plant in Japan, completed in August 2023, which produces renewable electricity fed into the power grid.⚡️ The biogas facility converts pig feed waste and food waste into renewable electricity. Additionally, by applying a combined heat and power system, the plant supplies annually 45,200 MWh of renewable heat to the factory’s processes.
