In 1952, four men traveled on horseback from Brenham, Texas to spread the word about the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Today, more than 2,000 trail riders will saddle up and hit the trail as part of this annual tradition. The 11 trail rides will head out across the great state of Texas and Louisiana to travel more than 1,000 miles on horseback and by wagon, making the trek to Memorial Park to kick off Rodeo season in Houston.
