Spann!! 🎉 In addition to being a founder in our organization, Dr. Spann served as the founding dean of the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine, as well as Vice President for Medical Affairs at University of Houston! Prior to joining UH, Dr. Spann served as Chairman of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, and Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at The University of Texas Medical Branch. He has practiced medicine both here and abroad, and consulted with medical schools, ministries of health, and health care delivery systems in many countries. Meet Sandra! Sandra is a wonderful young woman who lives in Santa Ana and suffers from debilitating rheumatoid arthritis. Her mother passed away several months ago and she is now being cared for by her brothers, who are often away for work. Her mobility is very limited and it is difficult for her to get out of her house, but she is an absolute joy to be around! Sandra is visited regularly in her home by our staff pastor and is one of the many people who benefits from the services provided by our clinic.
