For many the holidays are a joyous time of the year. However, for those who recently lost a loved one, living through the many “firsts” that come with the holiday season may be a little difficult. Consider these tips for coping this holiday season: • Don’t isolate yourself. Spending time with those you love can be healing. • Share with others and allow them to share, as well. Let everyone know it’s okay to talk about the person who passed. • Create new traditions or somehow honor that special person in a way that is meaningful to you and yours. But above all, give yourself a little grace. Feel what you need to feel and don’t think you need to apologize for those feelings. Mo Pie U has you covered! 🥧 Not only do they have the best bourbon chocolate pecan pie around, their mission is to provide college tuition support to children who have lost a parent to cancer. ☺️ How great is that? 🙌 They also generously donated to our recent Community Spirit Award Dinner raffle AND brought over a few tasty samples to our inpatient unit. 😋 We are so appreciative of their efforts.
