The How to Get Away with Greenwashing Team has had an exciting November! We kicked off the month with a trip to Washington DC to attend the Double Exposure Film Festival. I was selected to attend the festival as part of the Double Exposure Scholar Program and had the chance to dive into the field of investigative journalism and meet many incredible storytellers. After the festival, we hosted a screening and Q&A of “How to Get Away with Greenwashing” at the MLK Jr. Memorial Library. I also attended DOC NYC and hosted a happy hour and panel discussion with Clean Creatives, Micah K. of Redwood Climate Communications, and journalist Marin Scotten of The New Republic at the KGB Bar. We discussed the ways in which greenwashing can be seen across industries and how we as professionals and everyday people can combat it. With 60+ people in attendance, the happy hour is now our most successful event thus far! More updates coming soon!
