The holidays are here! Before we gear up for time with family and friends, we wanted to let our member community know about two upcoming platform closures. During the holidays, the How2Recycle platform will be closed for new requests from: 🍂 November 28 - December 1 for Thanksgiving ❄️ December 24 - January 1 for our Winter Break While members won't be able to submit new requests, you'll still have access to previous requests, be able to download labels, and duplicate and/or draft new requests. How2Recycle® (H2R) — the 800-plus-brand coalition behind the "chasing arrows" ♻️ label you see on most products — just launched a major change. Enter: a new dynamic label with a QR code on it so that you get a clear-cut answer on whether a product can be recycled in your specific region. Paul Nowak, the executive director at GreenBlue Org (which runs the How2Recycle coalition) walked us through how the new QR code works and which brands have already started using it. Thank you to The Obama Foundation for hosting us on a tour of the Obama Presidential Center (still in progress) during the How2Recycle Summit in Chicago! The Obama Foundation's goal is to create an ecosystem of #ChangeMakers that will help us work together toward solutions to the biggest challenges facing our world. Opening in Spring 2026, The Obama Presidential Center will be a hub for leadership and civic engagement, inspiring visitors to see themselves as leaders and agents of change.
