Here’s a look at Nick Howley’s visit to the Browns Training Facility, where he met with the St. Joseph's Prep football team. As The Prep's alum and former football captain, Nick shared valuable insights on what it takes to succeed—hard work, smart choices, and unwavering determination. We’re proud to support these talented student athletes as they prepare for the state championship this weekend. Good luck, Prep! #NickHowley #StJosephsPrep #BrownsTrainingFacility #Inspiration #HardWorkPaysOff #StudentAthletes #FootballFamily #Leadership #Determination #SmartChoices #PrepAlumni #FootballCaptain #MentorshipMatters #SuccessMindset

About us
Nick and Lorie Howley formed The Howley Foundation in 2001, with the intent of helping students, all students, regardless of economic means, receive the best education possible. The Howleys firmly believe that education is one of the most important catalysts to promoting positive change in individuals and society as a whole. Starting with one student scholarship in a local Cleveland Catholic high school, they have grown the Foundation and the Howley Scholars Program to provide meaningful tuition assistance to over 600 scholarship students in two major cities (Cleveland and Philadelphia) and college students around the United States. Historically tuition assistance by the Foundation has been provided primarily for high schools. However in recent years it has been expanded to include scholarship support and selected program assistance at three major levels of education.

Thank you, Mr. Simon, for your support of these talented scholars! We’re so proud of them!
I recently had dinner with our Cleveland Central Catholic High School - Howley Scholars attending John Carroll University. We had a good visit and I was very happy to learn they feel well prepared for the rigors of college. Thank You Howley Foundation for making it possible for these students to pursue their goals.

We’re excited to share photos from the ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the Howley Center for Science and Innovation and the Howley Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) at Merion Mercy Academy, made possible through a $9.1 million gift from The Howley Foundation. As Nick Howley shared, “Education is one of the most important catalysts in promoting positive change in individuals and society as a whole. Our Foundation’s goals align well with Merion Mercy’s mission of providing a strong academic foundation and significant character formation to students of socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.”

As part of our ongoing school visit series, The Howley Foundation representatives had the pleasure of visiting Elyria Catholic High School, one of the first schools the Foundation is supporting outside of Cuyahoga County. The visit included a warm breakfast and spirited conversations with the amazing Howley Scholars. The students even wrote a beautiful prayer in honor of the visit! Thank you to the students, teachers, and staff for the warm hospitality. Nick and Lorie Howley, along with The Howley Foundation Board of Directors and Staff, express their sincere condolences to Gwen McConnell and the McConnell family for the loss of John McConnell, founding president of Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School and a true Man for Others. John was a cherished friend, a devoted husband and father, and a dedicated leader in urban Catholic education.
