Today, 28 health professionals from the DFW area came to the UNT Health Science Center for the PrEP Roundtable event, sponsored by the UNTHSC South Central AIDS Education and Training Center. The Center for Health Policy is presenting a poster at the AcademyHealth 17th Annual Conference on The Science of Dissemination and Implementation in Health this week in Arlington, VA. Trisha Melhado will be presenting a poster, "Leveraging Implementation Science Frameworks for Rapid Start and Maintenance of Large Multi-Site Health Care Related Projects," during the “Models, Measures, and Methods” session and is looking forward to learning about the many frameworks and approaches in D&I Science.   #DIScience24 #PublicHealth

🎉 We would like to congratulate Amanda Brosnan, MPH, MPAS, PA-C for winning the 2024 Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Pillar Award for Prevention. These awards are presented by the Tarrant County HIV Administrative Agency in recognition of individuals work within the four pillars of the Beat HIV Tarrant County initiative: Diagnose, Treat, Prevent, and Respond.   PA Brosnan is a dedicated leader in HIV prevention as an Assistant Professor and clinician at UNTHSC. She integrated the National HIV Curriculum into her courses, providing students with hands-on experience in HIV care and leading community events focused on ending the epidemic and reducing stigma. Amanda’s commitment to prevention extends to her work with SC-AETC, where she actively educates community partners on PrEP with passion and expertise.
