Our State Funding Readiness Project (SFRP) has delivered pro bono, rapid, and robust technical assistance to jurisdictions preparing for and applying to federal climate funding. Since 2022, SFRP has helped various jurisdictions with Foundational Readiness activities to bolster their capacity (e.g., navigating federal funding applications, mapping stakeholders) and Grant Application Support activities to secure federal funding (e.g., developing grant narratives, reviewing project budgets). Through these two pathways, SFRP helps jurisdictions embed climate and equity priorities and maximize their benefits from federal funding. Check out our SFRP achievements below to see our impact to date: ⬇

HNP has been supporting the Catalyzing Local Climate Action Workshop series, led by C40 Cities, Climate Mayors, and Urban Sustainability Directors Network (USDN). At the end of October, Sarah Reed was in the City of Los Angeles, helping to facilitate a two-day convening between the city and its community partners to mobilize local and community-centered action around climate change. The event also featured two presentations from Camile Cleveland on the State Funding Readiness Project, the current landscape of federal funding opportunities, and the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF). Climate XChange just launched their new State Climate Policy Dashboard, now on its own website! Explore policy progress for all states, analyze policies across states, and find links to actionable resources to help inform policy decisions at https://lnkd.in/etbk7GtW.
We’re excited to officially share the new State Climate Policy Dashboard, now on its own website with even more policy information, actionable resources, and interactive tools to power policy progress through research. Three years ago, we launched the State Climate Policy Dashboard to help climate actors across the country access critical information on climate policy. But we never stopped dreaming about how we could make it an even greater resource, and we’ve been working behind the scenes to do just that. We created an all-in-one research tool for climate actors to compare policies across states, explore state policy landscapes, visualize greenhouse gas emissions and projections, and access resources to inform policy decisions.
