🌟 Today, I had the privilege of pitching at investor event The Spark! by Hubs4Growth at Wintercircus Ghent. However, as soon as my pitch wrapped up, I found myself making a quick exit—not because I don’t value investor connections, but because I had two customer deals waiting to be signed. It was a choice that emphasized the balancing act in any business journey: investor support versus customer traction. Revenue remains the best funding any business can achieve, and I firmly believe that every customer commitment is a vote of confidence in our mission to drive sustainable change. But to truly scale and amplify that impact, partnerships with the right investors become crucial. This October is wrapping up strong, marking a solid first month of the quarter and keeping us comfortably on track toward our quarterly targets. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending Spark! An evening full of inspiration and innovation! 💡 It was incredible to experience this first pitch event, co-organized by Hubs4Growth and Wintercircus Ghent. Ten promising ‘tech for good’ startups from across Flanders presented groundbreaking solutions in energy, cleantech, and resource management, all aimed at building a more sustainable future. 💚 A heartfelt congratulations to all participants and a big thank you to the organizers for creating such a unique platform, —and to Bruno Vandegehuchte for the warm welcome!  Spark! has truly sparked my interest in innovation, and I look forward to seeing these startups grow and make an impact. 🚀

Vlaamse start-ups wonnen in 1 jaar tijd 31,7% aan waarde en ons start-up ecosysteem groeide 2,7 keer zo snel als het Europese gemiddelde. Een sterke prestatie, en belangrijk voor onze welvaart! Een aantal sectoren hebben het vandaag moeilijk, zeker gezien belangrijke internationale afzetmarkten, zoals Duitsland, en een aantal sectoren (automotive, …) in zwaar weer zitten. Dat verdient onze aandacht en het samen zoeken naar oplossingen. Des te belangrijker goed nieuws zoals de groei van onze starters, die bijna per definitie van bij het begin sterk internationaal gericht zijn, te delen. Kudos aan alle starters die de uitdaging van het ondernemerschap aangaan!
