This is the first school of global health in the country. This institution’s rich history dates back to 1876, and is the first medical school for African Americans in the South. This past Saturday Humanist Perspective Consulting, LLC had the distinct pleasure of facilitating our Nurturing the Roots: Cultivating Nonprofit Development workshop for Heat Foundation VA’s staff. Over the course of 2-days, participants engaged in informative and interactive discussions and workshops on organizational ethos and leadership, brand identity and story telling, and enhancing their mission, vision, and values. Heat Foundation was a 2022 Collective 365 applicant. Collective 365 is a social impact giving circle that provides unrestricted grants to BIPOC-led nonprofits, businesses, and individuals in the DMV metro area. Non-awarded applicants are provided access to a network of consultants and volunteers to help support their capacity building needs.
