Trade Show Mistakes to Avoid! As this year’s trade show season wraps up, we’re taking stock of what we’ve seen before diving into 2025 with three shows to kick off January. Here are some of the major mistakes brands make at trade shows and how to avoid them. Before the Show: -Last-Minute Prep: If you’re scrambling the week before to finalize your booth design, messaging, or materials, you’re setting yourself up for stress (and mistakes). -No Pre-Show Marketing: Your audience won’t know you’re there unless you tell them! Build buzz with email campaigns, social media posts, and personal invitations. During the Show: -Booth Chaos: Overloaded designs, unclear messaging, or unapproachable staff can scare attendees away. Keep it clean, focused, and friendly. -Missed Connections: Forgetting to scan badges or collect info from visitors? That’s a huge missed opportunity for follow-ups. After the Show: -Radio Silence: Following up with leads weeks (or months) later is like throwing away the effort you put into meeting them. -No Post-Show Debrief: What worked? What didn’t?
