Congratulations to HumRRO's Amy McKee (back row, second from left), who completed her successful term as Board Chair of Certification Network Group in 2024! HumRRO headquarters welcomed the CNG Board last month for their annual meeting to celebrate their successes and plan for 2025 under the leadership of incoming Board Chair, Tara Myers, (front row, far right). Under Amy's leadership, CNG made great strides, including introducing a vibrant new logo and a revamped website to be launched this month, as well as expanded member programming with more virtual networking and learning opportunities. Amy thanked HumRRO for supporting her volunteer activities--one of our core values of contributing to the profession--and for hosting CNG's annual Board meeting the past three years. Congratulations, Amy!👏👏

Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO) reposted this
I am very honored to be speaking this Friday at the Center for Measurement Justice to support their very important work. Please register below to join us.
Join us for the third session of The Center for Measurement Justice's Speaker Series dedicated to discussing fairness issues in educational, psychological, and medical assessments. We are proud to announce Dr. Micheal Walker, Principal Scientist at Human Resources Research Organization (HumRO), as our guest speaker this month focusing on "Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Assessment: Problems and Prospects". This session will take place on Friday, December 6th from 1 - 2 pm EST, and registration in advance is required. Register here: https://lnkd.in/g_5wf2Bp Presentation Summary: Universal Design for Learning Guidelines (CAST, 2018) call for providing multiple means of (a) engagement, (b) representation, and (c) action and expression. Adherence to these guidelines when assessing individuals means paying attention to the culture and language of the assessed. This cultural-linguistic responsiveness comes at a cost often overlooked by its advocates. In this talk, I will outline a few of the challenges we must face with courage if we are to achieve equity in assessment. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with cutting-edge ideas and contribute to advancing fairness in assessment. Register now to secure your spot!

HumRRO proudly sponsored this year’s PTCMW Webmaster Annual Graduate Student Consulting Challenge (GSCC)! At PTCMW’s Fall Event in Washington, D.C., yesterday, HumRRO VP Gary Carter spoke to attendees about HumRRO and our work. Coleman Gentry, MSIOP, announced the 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place winners. We were honored to sponsor both the event and the GSCC, which allows graduate students to develop key professional skills, while expanding their professional networks. Special thanks to HumRRO’s Emily (Rost) McKissick for stepping in to coordinate the Fall Event. Thanks to Emily, Coleman, Grayson Sturgis, and Deborah Whetzel for judging the competition. Congratulations to all the winners! 🥇 ($1,500 prize): Psych-O-Metrics Ltd. team of Kaliah Alford, Changyoon Byun, Billy Duck, Rishika Bhatnagar, and Yasmine Elfeki. The winning team responded to HumRRO’s RFP challenge by developing an approach that focused on a modern job analysis update with AI-powered components, and a four-stage multiple-hurdle assessment approach consisting of a resume screening, two knowledge assessments, and a structured interview. The team was very strategic and detailed in their timeline and pricing estimates. 🥈($800 prize): BigFive Inc. team Nicole Shiu, Rebecca Yan, Sullivan Williams, @Maria (Paulina) Lopez, and Emily Kim. 🥉 3rd Place: Synergy Consulting team Rebecca Mintz, Keya Chava, Daisy Rowser-Grier, Christina Sia, Rabecca Mayuya, and Rigoberto Baeza. 😎The future is bright in I-O Psychology! Kudos to Alec Campbell, M.A., for coordinating this year’s Graduate Student Consulting Challenge Competition.
