Hutchison Ports arrived on Grand Bahama Island in 1996 to conduct a feasibility study confirming yet another location to do business. In 1997, Hutchison Ports FCP operations commenced. Not only did the group find the ideal location for a transshipment terminal, they further invested in the harbour, the airport, significant land holdings, and the island’s largest resort property. Hutchison Ports is the port and related services division of CK Hutchison Holdings Limited (CK Hutchison). Hutchison Ports is the world’s leading port investor, developer and operator with a network of port operations in 53 ports spanning 24 countries throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Americas, and Australasia. Over the years, Hutchison Ports has expanded into other logistics and transportation-related businesses, including cruise ship terminals, airport operations, distribution centres, rail services, and ship repair facilities. Hutchison Ports handled a combined throughput of 82.1 million TEU in 2023. The Commercial officer will be responsible developing and implementing an aggressive strategy to expand existing revenue streams and identify new commercial and business development opportunities. The Commercial Officer will identify synergies between the business units, develop, and implement innovative plans to create value. Education and Experience: ·      Bachelor’s Degree or not less than three (3) years’ experience in commercial and/or business development in the shipping industry, ports or associated industries, banking, or finance. ·      Experience with budgeting processes and sound financial acumen. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: ·      Excellent written communication skills; proficient communicator and listener; work with minimal supervision; work individually and as part of a team; ·      Have excellent relationship-building skills; computer literate, high level of accuracy and detail oriented. ·      Must be competent in research and development. Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills. ·      Willingness to travel.
