For the month of November, Metro Orlando’s market wide hotel occupancy rate rose by 4.7% coming in at 72.9%, with hotel room demand increasing by 5.3%. ADR reached $187.11, a 3% increase over prior year ($181.59). Strong travel demand was fueled by Orlando’s extensive holiday offerings, sports events, concerts and festivals, including the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Orlando 2024, a three-day electronic dance music festival. Metro Orlando’s hotel occupancy rate for the week ending January 4, 2025, came in at a strong 79.5%, up 15.5% from the same week last year. ADR came in at $229.20 for the week, up significantly over last year by a strong 12.3%. Room night demand also exceeded the prior year by 15.8%. Go Orlando! HVS Visit Orlando

HVS Europe is pleased to have assisted in the development of new luxury resort in Meia Praia Lagos, in the Algarve, Portugal, a joint venture between PGIM and Sonae Sierra. The resort will feature 158 rooms and apartments, as well as a state-of-the-art spa, a number of restaurants and leisure areas. The property will be branded with a leading international luxury brand. Construction is due to start in the first quarter of 2025, with the inauguration planned for 2027. HVS acted as consultant on behalf of the asset manager.
