🌟 **Insightful Day at the OMA Workforce Summit** ⚙️  As CFO of Hynes Industries and a proud board member of the Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition (MVMC), I had the honor of attending The Ohio Manufacturers' Association Workforce Summit at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. I was also privileged to speak on a panel about industry sector partnerships and the importance of collaboration in addressing workforce challenges.  The day kicked off with an inspiring address from Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted, followed by thought-provoking panels on workforce challenges, the impact of AI in manufacturing, and the importance of working together to tackle the industry’s evolving needs.   A highlight of the day was seeing MVMC Executive Director Alex Hertzer featured as a panelist in one of the breakout sessions, moderated by Jim Houck from Houck Agency. It’s always energizing to see the MVMC team and member organizations showcasing their expertise on such a prominent stage.  I also want to recognize Jessica Borza for her incredible leadership and dedication to OMA's mission of workforce development and innovation in manufacturing. Her efforts continue to drive meaningful change for the industry in Ohio.  Grateful for the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and continue driving the industry forward. ⚙️ It was a day packed full of insight and expertise on manufacturing and the future of the industry. The MVMC team and representatives from a few members attended the The Ohio Manufacturers' Association’s Workforce Summit at the Greater Columbus Convention Center/ASM Global. Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted gave the opening address. There were panel discussions with subject matter experts about workforce and the challenges, the use of AI in manufacturing and the importance of collaboration. One of the four breakout sessions featured MVMC Executive Director Alex Hertzer, who was a panelist, and was moderated by our marketing/PR team Jim Houck at Houck Agency. Economic Forecast was a success! 🤩 The morning consisted of the Excellence in Manufacturing Award presentation to Hynes Industries, a look at the Economy going into 2025 from our partners at First National Bank and our Keynote Speaker, Chamber President & CEO Guy Coviello. We also honored Brookfield native Jack Damioli, CEO of the renowned Broadmoor Resort in Colorado! Damioli started working in the hospitality industry at Yankee Run Golf Course at the age of 10 and "pestered" the golf pro/co-owner there for a job, learned to play the game of golf and kept coming back to work at the course during the summer for 12 years, gaining great insight into customer service and guest experience. He joined The Broadmoor in 2014 as VP and managing director and became just the seventh president & CEO in 2021. The Broadmoor is the world's longest-running, Forbes Five-Star, AAA Five-Diamond Resort. Known for his expertise in negotiation, coaching, advertising, sales and customer satisfaction, Jack has built a reputation for driving business growth and development. Honored and thrilled to share that Hynes Industries has received this year’s Excellence in Manufacturing Award from the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and MAGNET! This recognition is a huge testament to our team’s dedication and the vision we set for Hynes as we head toward our 100th year in business in 2025. In the past three years, we’ve invested $23M in advanced technology and training to stay at the forefront of metal fabrication and roll forming, allowing us to better serve our customers in industries like solar, truck/trailer manufacturing, and automated material handling.
