Last week was packed with regional conferences taking place in Regions 1, 2, and 10. Thank you for sharing some highlights from Region 1 - New England!
Assistant Professor and Assistant Chair, Department of Business & Economics, Salve Regina University
I was pleased to have the opportunity to present “AI – Your Research Assistant” at the IACBE Region 1 Conference, hosted by my friend, Dr. Bani Ghosh, at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Buzzards Bay yesterday. The facilities are impressive, and closing the day with a hands-on experience at the Ship's Bridge Simulator was a memorable highlight! Special thanks to Dr. Laurie Yates, International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) Director of Accreditation, who “took the helm” (pun fully intended!) to update us on exciting IACBE initiatives. We were also inspired by our keynote speaker, Dr. Auroop R. Ganguly, Distinguished Professor at Northeastern University, who shared insights from his work at the intersection of AI, climate science, and sustainability. Spending the day with dedicated business faculty from across the region, all committed to enhancing program quality and advancing student learning, is always rewarding. Looking forward to seeing how these shared insights and innovations will shape the future of our programs! Special thanks to the Officers of IACBE Region 1-New England for your work organizing this event: Thomas A. Barron, Jr., Ed.D., CAGS, MBA, MSOD, Lee P. Speronis, J.D., CHE, CHIA, CAHTA, Dr. Susan Weiss, and Dr. @Jacqueline "Jackie" Jamsheed. #IACBE #AIinEducation #ContinuousImprovement #StudentSuccess #BusinessEducation

Thank you Michał Pronobis for sharing the update from the Region 9 Conference in Milan!
Just returned from Milan where I attended the IACBE European Conference (International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). It was a great opportunity to meet not only program leaders dealing with business education, but also highly experienced business professionals from various sectors there in Milan. We were all sharing our perspectives on how best to offer excellent, state of the art business education in order to keep up with the fast-changing world. First of all big thanks to Lisa M. Marchese for hosting us at Swiss School of Management and organizing such a fabulous event. Great keynote address delivered by Massimiliano Bracalé about internationalization of business education. Excellent speech delivered by Chiara Airoldi, young but very talented and already successful entrepreneur. I was impressed by a presentation about AI delivered by Daniele Plosch and Federico Costa (AI is a buzzword, but this time it was really about how to use it in an effective and smart way). What a pleasure it was to meet Valentina Volpe Andreazza, not only a mezzosoprano but also a cultural ambassador and a founder of Music4Diplomacy Project. I enjoyed the panel about fostering collaboration between business leaders and educators participated by Patrizia Beltrami, Cristina Periti and Vincenzo Melilli, all of them experienced C-level business professionals. Last but not least it was wonderful to meet Nicola Guerini sharing his rich experience from the fashion industry, sustainability and best practices in business education. Great event! Also thanks to: Laurie Yates, Laurel Vicklund, Elizabeth Soliday- Naui, Ph.D. Dr. Katalin Kovacs, Laxmi Remer, Serena Magnanti, Dr. Maxine Lubner, Sangwon Park, Gaidi Faraj PhD, Philip Weinberg.

International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) reposted this
It’s been a week since I returned home from hosting our International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) Region 4 and 5 conference on our University of the Cumberlands Northern Kentucky campus. What an awesome couple of days with our regional colleagues in business from Minnesota to Kansas City to Kentucky. We were joined by the awesome Cengage Higher Education team. Shout out to Emily Harding & Jill Quinn, our UC reps who put together an awesome presentation from the product team, Mike Worls & Aaron Arnsparger, and the opportunity to finally meet the all-time great product manager Heather Kramer Thompson after years of zooms. We also had the fun Peregrine Global Services team with us showcasing all things assessment and always with the best swag - Amber Ratcliff and Maureen Connelly Jones. IACBE President Archish Maharaja joined us to share all the awesome updates coming from the organization, we even got him racing at Dave and Busters! Major shoutout to the planning committee, Vanessa St. Laurent for the all support & guidance, and to my partner in projects, Stephanie Thacker, DBA. Wheels are already turning of how to make it bigger and better next year!
