The #GHSCSummit is off to an exciting start! Dr. Abdu Mukhtar, National Coordinator of the Presidential Initiative for Unlocking Health Value Chains, represented Nigeria’s Minister of Health and Social Welfare, and shared the country’s vision for strengthening health systems through local manufacturing and integrated health programs.
I’m particularly inspired by the focus on the human development accelerator as part of this comprehensive approach. At IAPHL, we’re eager to see the implementation and outcome of this multi-faceted strategy amplified and leveraged across the continent and added to the localization agenda.
From the different session, I am also learnt how we need to design our supply chain beyond the clinics to really meet the client where they are -the community, how outsourcing of transport could be three times more efficient and how it is important to understand government systems for an impactful public-private partnership that will drive efficient supply chain of health commodities.
My colleagues and I hosted some members and attendees at the IAPHL rally point. We connected and shared candid feedback and quality ideas about how to continue to derive and deliver value for IAPHL community. The feedback includes -can we have smaller interest groups within IAPHL that are good for introverts or focused interest groups.? I thought IAPHL was only for experts… I learned a lot and the sharing has been useful in my work…
We have just begun, stay tuned…
