Port of Santos achieves historic movement record in 2024. The Port of Santos (Brazil), which is one of the founders of IAPORTS, recorded the best result in its history in cargo movement in 2024. In the accumulated period from January to December, the largest port in the country reached 179.8 million tons, representing an increase of 3.8% compared to the same period in 2023. The data was released this Thursday (16) by the Autoridade Portuária de Santos (APS). “This historic record reinforces the strategic importance of the Port of Santos for Brazil. We achieved extraordinary results thanks to the efficiency of operations, investments in infrastructure and the commitment of everyone involved. The significant growth in different segments, such as containers, agribusiness and fuels, demonstrates our ability to adapt to the demands of the global market. This is a milestone that motivates us to seek even more advances in 2025”, commented the president of APS, Anderson Pomini. According to the company, shipments totaled 131.3 million tons, 1.0% above the previous year, while unloading reached 48.5 million tons, a significant increase of 12.1%. Container movement in Santos was one of the main highlights, surpassing the 5 million TEU mark (unit equivalent to a 20-foot container) for the first time. In total, the complex closed with 5.4 million TEUs, an increase of 14.7%. Source: Rede BE News #ports #logistics

✨ Connection, learning and inspiration at the Port of Santos! 🚢👩💼 Last Saturday, we had the honor of visiting the DP World terminal at the Porto de Santos, at the invitation of WISTA International - Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association. It was an incredible experience to immerse ourselves in DP World’s operations, with a focus on Suzano’s exports, a key player in the global pulp and paper market. 🌱📦 Even more inspiring was getting to know WISTA’s initiatives, which promote gender equality in the port sector. Seeing the impact of the work of the women at DP World filled us with pride and reinforces the importance of actions that drive inclusion and diversity. 💪💙 We thank WISTA and DP World for providing us with this unique opportunity to learn, connect and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable future in the logistics and international trade sector. 🚀🌟 Raquel Kibrit Juliana Chini Giulia Marcelino #ports #logistics
