Just in: Worldscale Association (London) Ltd will use ICE’s European Carbon Allowance (EUA) futures settlement price as the benchmark carbon price for calculating 2025 tanker freight rates — giving the maritime industry a solution for how the physical freight market, as well as related wet freight derivatives used to hedge freight risk, can comply with the rules expanding the EU ETS to maritime. How can Taiwan be developed into an asset management hub?   I had the privilege of being invited by Economic Daily to participate in a roundtable discussion with Vice-Chairperson Yen-Liang Chen from the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), President Edith Lee from the Taiwan Stock Exchange, CEO Rebecca Chen from Taipei Exchange, and Chairman Julian Liu from the Securities Investment Trust & Consulting Association (SITCA) to discuss this key initiative.
