✨ From Struggles to Leadership: My Neurodivergent Journey ✨ Hi, I’m Nathan Chung, and my story is one of resilience and passion. Growing up undiagnosed until late in life with Autism, ADHD, Complex PTSD, and Alexithymia meant navigating a world that often misunderstood me. I’m proud to turn my lived experiences into a platform for advocacy, leadership, and change. Today I work in cybersecurity and tech where I champion for neurodiversity and accessibility in the field. My journey has been shaped by incredible milestones. 🌟 Accomplishments I’m Proud of: Board member at IGNITE Worldwide Organized a neurodiversity event with the California Governor's Cybersecurity Task Force for Workforce Development and Education Founder & former leader of the Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) Neurodiversity Affiliate Volunteered at the Cybersecurity Woman of the Year Awards events celebrating women in cybersecurity from all over the world Worked at CyberUp as an adjunct professor teaching Security+ Worked as the head of IT for the Governor in the State of Hawai'i Worked at Microsoft in Azure and cloud security Worked at SEPHORA, EY, and Gymboree Named one of the Top 50 Global Neurodiversity Evangelists 5x Award Winner for my work in neurodiversity, cybersecurity, DEI, and advocating for women in cybersecurity and tech Writer for the NeuroSec newsletter, where I explore the powerful intersection between Neurodiversity & Cybersecurity Host of the NeuroSec podcast 🎤 Talks & Events: Delivering talks at the United Nations, the Association for Autism and Neurodiversity, UWIC (Uniting Women in Cyber), and other conferences about neurodiversity Organized events celebrating neurodivergent women and the LGBTQIA+ community Serving on multiple non-profit boards to continue my advocacy 🎯 What’s Next? I’m thrilled and honored to be speaking about Neurodiversity and Accessibility at CES in Las Vegas, the world’s largest tech event! On a lighter note… I’m a self-proclaimed foodie 🍽️, always on the hunt for the best bites. Got any recommendations? 💬 Let’s Connect and Collaborate!
