Illinois Center for Transportation, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s transportation research center founded in 2005, steers the development and implementation of cost-effective mobility technologies, improves safety and reliability, reduces congestion and minimizes environmental impacts while returning taxpayers’ dollars. ICT serves the needs of the state and the nation through research, education and outreach. The premier research facility has innovative partnerships and collaborations with Illinois Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, industries, national and international agencies, and many others. Housed at ICT is a 60,000-square-foot research and testing facility located just 15 miles north of UIUC in Rantoul, Illinois.

⏰ TIME IS RUNNING OUT! ⏰ There are just ten days left to register for the first round of the CCAT Connected and Automated Transportation certificate program. We're launching this in response to the gaps found in transportation engineering systems education. The online course features five modules that explore different facets of CAV technologies. Instructors are globally recognized leaders in transportation from the University of Michigan College of Engineering and University of Wisconsin-Madison. Senior-level undergraduate and graduate-level engineering students at all eight partner institutions (The University of Akron, Central State University, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign/Illinois Center for Transportation, University of Michigan College of Engineering, Center for Transportation Studies, University of Minnesota/University of Minnesota, McCormick School of Engineering/Northwestern University, Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering at Purdue, and University of Wisconsin-Madison) can register at no cost.
