12/28/2024 - Jaeho Summary: For the business side, I worked on revising and adding finishing touches to the Conrad challenge innovation brief so we can send it off for review. For the technical side, I added rock barriers to the edges of the terrain and added more assets like the rocks between the water and beach. Details: Worked on Conrad Challenge Innovation Brief Revised questions 8-10 Reviewed, standardized, finished up questions for review Added more assets Giant rock/mountain barriers to prevent falling off map Rocks at transition from beach to ocean More decoration like coconuts/crates/barrels ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 12/28/2024 - Jonny Summary: I modified the dot multiplication for the swimming evaluator, and tweaked the deceleration factor and velocity multiplier to make it feel more realistic. I brainstormed pros and cons for two potential new activities: racket sports and rhythm. I made a 1 minute storyboard/video of our product for the Diamond Challenge. Details: Swimming evaluator Changed transform.forward because it wasn't realistic palm orientation Instead, I created a child of the controller facing the palm direction, and used its orientation. Tweaked velocity multiplier and drag force of the water New Activity Pros/Cons (summarized) Racket Sports: competitive, social, but complex movements and not very accessible Rhythm: Accessible, easy to learn, hard to master, but less social aspect, can be overwhelming, and potential overstimulation (too fast, too much flashing lights, too much movement) Diamond Challenge Video First drew out a rough idea of the video Created the slides in Canva. Video is ready to record next meeting together ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 12/29/2024 - Flynn Summary: For the business side, I got SSL certification on the website and added https. For the technical side, I drafted pros and cons of some new potential activities for our application. Details: SSL certification, website should work on https://immersifyvr.us/ Drafted pros and cons for bowling and racket sports as a some new activity ideas

12/14/2024 - Jonny Summary: I changed the swimming evaluator from velocity to force based, and wrote a rough draft answer for questions 1-4 on the Conrad Innovation Brief Details: Conrad Innovation Brief Answered Questions 1-4 (elevator pitch, team, opportunity, innovation) Swimming evaluator Adds velocity to a variable instead of setting the variable to the velocity This way, if I move the controller one way and then another way, it wouldn't suddenly change directions. Almost done polishing it (changing scale, smoothing the movement.) But when tested in VR, it feels weird and doesn't really work. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 12/14/2024 - Jaeho Summary: For the business side, I completed the FIC survey analysis document and sent out the follow-up emails. For the technical side, I continued to improve the visuals by adding a skybox, fixing the sand texture, resizing and re-smoothing the beach terrain, as well as importing beach assets. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Details: Finished collecting results/analyzed data Sent out follow-up emails Added skybox Fixed terrain Made sand not glossy Made terrain larger Made terrain less bumpier Imported/added beach assets ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 12/14/2024 - Flynn Summary: I added poke interaction to the 3d button and summarized questions 8-10 on the Conrad innovation brief Details: Conrad Innovation Brief Answered Questions 8-10 3d button w/poke interactor, works well ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 12/14/2024 - Alan Summary: Found some sound effects that could be incorporated Details: Listed a couple of different files and sound effects that could be used

11/16/2024 - Jonny Summary: I modified the week-by-week plan for Conrad Challenge, researched the Innovation brief, and worked on the swimming evaluator. Details: -Researched innovation brief: What it is, questions asked, due date -Week-by-week plan: Modified the plan that Coach Lucas made. -Swimming Evaluator -Re-made the swimming evaluator to calculate based on velocity, not acceleration -Starts calculating when your velocity is above a certain threshold, and when your velocity goes below that threshold, it calculates average velocity -Takes the average velocity and reverses it, boosts player in that direction Currently works partially, but is really glitchy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 11/16/2024 - Jaeho Summary: I researched about the survey we will have to make and send out for FIC. For the technical side, I fixed the issue with the angle calculations when dealing with the VR general tutorial checkpoints, and also implemented the scene transition after completing the tutorial. Details: -Researched about FIC outreach survey -Fixed angle calculation for checkpoints -Implemented scene transition into poke interaction button ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 11/16/2024 - Flynn Summary: I finished the action items for the blue ocean challenge pitch and added some ui to the game Details: -The UI is currently quite basic, with a rudimentary settings menu and a play button that goes to the tutorial -Action items completed, for the blue ocean challenge we just need to develop a pitch deck, then record and submit it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 11/16/2024 - Alan Summary: Created a gravitational pull to the object so the fish would have some sort of biased to the player, and did minimal work with Diamond Challenge Details -Created a method where if the fish too close to the player it would gravitate away -Also created a method if the fish is far from the player, it would gravitate towards the player -Tested it out a bit, but there were still some issues with it.

I also completed the action item planning for FIC, and added a check for the player’s direction in the tutorial. Details: -Finished blog (Chateau Cupertino summary, pictures) -Finished action item planning for FIC -Added player direction checks for general VR tutorial -Requires user to be facing the checkpoint within a certain angle range to clear it ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 11/9/2024 - Flynn Summary: Completed blog article, improved tutorial to make it more simple Details: -refined my personal blog post section and added background on what chateau Cupertino is -Wrote Chateau Cupertino reflection draft Updated tutorial and added checkpoints for the player to swim to ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 11/9/2024 - Alan Summary: Worked on cleaning up some mistouches in Fish movement, and worked on blog article Details: -Made some changes to blog article -Planned out week by week action items -Tested out player biased movement

Details: Added image to the tutorial to make it more easy to understand Added a delay to the tutorial resetting Completed Blue Ocean mini course wrote Chateau Cupertino reflection ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 11/2/2024 - Jonny Summary: I completed the Blue Ocean mini-course and the Chateau Cupertino reflection for the business side, and worked on the new swimming evaluator. Details: Completed Blue Ocean mini-course Wrote Chateau Cupertino reflection draft Worked on swimming evaluator Takes only one factor into account: the velocity Takes the acceleration of the controller, and reverses it (to the opposite direction) and applies force in that direction. Ex. the controller moves backwards -> player moves forwards. Not sure if it works yet. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 11/2/2024 - Alan Summary: Registered for Diamond Challenge and created a fish movement that is biased to the player Details: Diamond Challenge has to be registered without Flynn because it requires everyone to be a highschooler, so had to re register on a different account Created a player biased fish movement method Not yet confirmed if it works or not The fish moves in respect to the player with a attraction pull that gravitates the fish more towards the player
