Our programs are meant to create a healthier day, every day, for every person with an immune deficiency.

Volunteers are the heart of the #PICommunity! Meet Larry, who is living with common variable immune deficiency (CVID). As to why he volunteers, he says, "I believed it was important for me to volunteer in two areas where I thought I could make a difference. First was to visit plasma centers to thank donors and staff because of my monthly infusions and second advocate at the legislative level to assure awareness among our government leaders." Thank you Larry for giving your time to support immunocompromised individuals, you are much appreciated!

A surge in norovirus outbreaks means people with primary immunodeficiency (PI) should be especially vigilant about protecting themselves against the illness. Norovirus causes nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, which can become chronic in people with certain diagnoses such as common variable immune deficiency (CVID). https://bit.ly/4hLzypL

Thank you for following along with us here on LinkedIn and supporting immunocompromised individuals! With today being #NationalMakeAFriend Day, we would like to highlight the warm and welcoming #PICommunity, which is evident at fundraising events like #WalkForPI or here on LinkedIn and much more. Anyone can be diagnosed with PI, and we are thankful for the kind and embracing environment that the community creates. Whether you have attended an event with them or would like to, there is a welcoming space for all at the Immune Deficiency Foundation.

This is great news! Congratulations to the team at Lactiga.
Breaking news! Our research team has secured a multi-million dollar, multi-year grant from The National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to advance our innovative mucosal-targeted secretory IgA therapy for immunodeficient patients. This funding supports our mission to develop mucosal-targeted secretory IgA therapy, a potential game-changer for adults and children with Common Variable Immune Deficiency (CVID); a rare disease where mortality rates are higher in children due to compromised immune systems. A special thank you to our collaborators, Center for Discovery and Innovation and Kenox Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Immune Deficiency Foundation Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/eYbtJrqA
