Hi there!
I’ve been a bit quiet on socials lately while working on building Inclusion Unpacked, but I wanted to introduce myself to those who might not know my background or why I founded Inclusion Unpacked.
- Our mission is to empower founders and leaders with the tools and resources necessary to build inclusive cultures from the start. We do this by matching companies with DEI experts and providing tangible diversity and inclusion resources that can be leveraged on-demand. We want to make DEI simple and easy!
- Before founding IU, I founded the Global Employee Resource Group: Black Women at Meta and scaled it to 3,000 members globally. That’s where I noticed the need for leaders to be equipped with the tools necessary to lead inclusively.
I also went through Y-Combinator in 2015 with Jopwell and learned a ton about DEI as it relates to the recruitment and hiring world.
I graduated with a full-ride from Columbia Business School in May of 2023; CBS has been invaluable to my journey. I was awarded the Lang Fund investment, further supporting the growth and development of Inclusion Unpacked.
I’ve been featured in Forbes (twice!), WhoWhatWear, The Second Life, Yahoo, Girlboss, Women’s Health, and Bustle Magazine and was awarded emerging DEI leader by Crain’s New York this year.
I’m a Kansas Native on a mission to infuse community into the world of DEI. I love poetry by Cleo Wade and look up to her collaborative and inclusive (yet fun) leadership style, and I deeply believe in what we’re building!
