Building high performing inclusive organisations, predominantly helping Higher Education Providers, Charities and the Public Sector with transformation and change, working as a consultant, strategist and coach.

I am tired of watching friends and colleagues working with disadvantaged young people burnout. I am frustrated that these young people are impacted by the alarmingly high rates of teachers leaving the profession. I have decided to do something about it. Come and find out how. Rekindle Me is for people at risk of leaving or have already professions that have a direct and positive impact on the life outcomes of disadvantaged young people. We work with individuals, groups and teams to develop practical tools and techniques to improve wellbeing, support recovery, reconnect with passion and purpose and discover more sustainable ways to be the impactful human beings that you are doing amazing things that transform your life and the lives of others. www.rekindleme.org

Tired feet having a well earned rest after a busy week! What to know what I've been up to? - working with the phenomenal The Music Works on embedding youth voice and inclusive cultures - With University of Winchester to see Hugh Dennis installed as our new Chancellor along with Pro Chancellors Mohamed Bakhaty and Maggie Carver - talked about the challenges and joys of living with disabilities with Jet Gates and Jemma (Jem) Dart and what organisations can to be more inclusive - caught up with Dr Andrew Ross to hear about the exciting work at University of Bath to deliver their Access and Participation Plan - met Dr Alex Blower to explore how we can improve outcomes for white young men on free school meals through the Boys Impact conference - did my first woodland walk since breaking my foot - a sure sign of recovery! - began developing an exciting new programme to address the phenomenally high rates of burnout for people working with disadvantaged communities in partnership with Daisy Foss - survived one more week of GCSE exams - the stress levels at home are HIGH! Feeling energised and also totally ready for the weekend... If you want to know any more about any of this, DM me and we can have a chat!

For over a decade, young people from disadvantaged backgrounds have been 40% less likely to go on to higher education than their better off peers, despite concerted attempts to close the ‘access gap.’   Now, @OfficeforStudents is pursuing a new approach to access and participation where providers must identify their own context and mission, and mitigate risks to equality of opportunity through an Access and Participation Plan (APP).   This is a regulatory requirement, and real opportunity for the sector.   Together with Impetus - Backing the best, we worked with University of Bath to run a series of Theory of Change workshops to trial a co-creation approach that could be used to improve the quality of outcomes for young people from disadvantaged / underrepresented backgrounds.   Our key learnings are essential reading for HE providers and policymakers.
