(🚨 Important side note: unlike others making news recently, you definitely WON'T see McDonald's USA issuing surcharges on eggs, which are 100% cage-free and sourced in the U.S). When it was introduced nationally in 1975, the Egg McMuffin changed breakfast forever, and that freshly cracked egg remains key to fans' love for it. McDonald's has been America’s favorite breakfast for 50 years and now we get to celebrate with fans across the country as part of a new campaign called #BreakfastComesFirst. Proud of the many teams, and all 3 legs of the stool, who are working hard to bring this to life, and who have made millions and millions of mornings better for half a century. Kyle Shipman is now officially Indiana State Veterinarian after being formally approved for the position by Governor Mike Braun. Shipman was appointed by the Indiana State Board of Animal Health on Tuesday, Jan. 7 by unanimous vote. Dr. Shipman had been serving as interim state veterinarian since November. Dr. Bret Marsh, who previously served as Indiana State Veterinarian for 30 years, left the position to become Dean of Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine & Veterinary Hospital on Nov. 1.

Productive collaboration today between the Indiana State Board of Animal Health (BOAH) and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM)! Our agencies are working together to improve government efficiency and ensure a coordinated response to critical issues like Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). A key focus of our discussion was the proper disposal of impacted waste while protecting Indiana’s environment and agricultural resources. By aligning efforts, we can enhance preparedness, streamline response strategies, and support both animal health and environmental sustainability. Looking forward to continued partnership and innovative solutions!
