About us

Indiana leads the nation in duck production, producing 60% of the nation's duck; is 2nd in egg production and the production of egg-laying chickens; 4th in turkey production; and produces broiler chickens as well. Representing over 95% of the state’s poultry production, our sizable and diverse flock provides a unique opportunity to engage with many different sectors of the poultry industry in just one state. The Indiana State Poultry Association is a non-profit, membership organization housed within the Department of Animal Sciences in the Purdue University College of Agriculture.
